Orange Fluff with Greek Yogurt
A light, creamy orange dessert made with Greek yogurt, mandarin oranges, and whipped topping. It’s sweet, refreshing, and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) orange gelatin powder
- ½ cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 can (11 oz / 312 g) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 cup whipped topping
- ½ cup mini marshmallows, optional
- ¼ cup shredded coconut, optional
Instructions
- Dissolve the gelatin: Place the orange gelatin powder in a large bowl. Pour in the boiling water and whisk until completely dissolved.
- Add cold water: Stir in the cold water. Let the mixture cool for about 10–15 minutes.
- Add Greek yogurt: Whisk in the Greek yogurt until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the extras: Gently fold in the whipped topping, drained mandarin oranges, and mini marshmallows if using.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, until set and fluffy.
- Serve: Spoon into individual cups or serve from a large bowl. Add a few mandarin orange segments on top for decoration.
For a lighter, higher-protein version
Use plain Greek yogurt and a sugar-free orange gelatin mix. You can also skip the marshmallows and coconut to reduce added sugar and calories.
Tip: Make sure the gelatin mixture has cooled before adding the Greek yogurt. If it’s very hot, it can thin out the yogurt and affect the final texture.
