🍦 2-Minute Homemade Vanilla-Flavoured Yogurt Ice Cream
This is a quick, creamy frozen-yogurt-style dessert made with just a few ingredients. No ice-cream maker required!
Ingredients
- 1 cup thick Greek yogurt or strained plain yogurt
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk or cream
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon — optional
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice — optional, for a brighter flavor
Method
1. Mix
AddTaste the mixture and add a little more honey if you want it sweeter or another drop of vanilla for the yogurt, honey, vanilla, and milk to a bowl.
Whisk vigorously for 30–60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
2. Taste
Taste the mixture and add a little more honey if you want it sweeter or another drop of vanilla for a stronger vanilla flavor.
3. Make It “Ice Cream”
For a truly frozen texture, spread the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe container and freeze until firm, usually 2–3 hours.
For a genuinely 2-minute version, use frozen yogurt cubes: freeze the yogurt in an ice-cube tray ahead of time, then blend the frozen cubes with honey, vanilla, and a splash of milk until smooth and creamy.
🍓 Easy Variations
- Strawberry: Blend in a handful of frozen strawberries.
- Chocolate: Add 1 tablespoon cocoa powder.
- Mango: Add frozen mango chunks.
- Banana: Add ½ frozen banana.
- Crunchy: Top with chopped nuts or granola.
- Extra creamy: Replace the milk with 2 tablespoons of cream.
⭐ Tip for the Best Texture
Use full-fat Greek yogurt and frozen fruit rather than regular yogurt. The thicker yogurt gives you a much creamier, less icy result.
Quick formula:
1 cup yogurt + 2–3 tbsp sweetener + 1 tsp vanilla + 2 tbsp milk → blend → enjoy immediately if using frozen yogurt, or freeze for a firmer dessert.
