Sweet Chili Pineapple Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Blend the pineapple
    • Use a blender or food processor to puree the pineapple until smooth.
  2. Combine ingredients
    • In a small saucepan, mix pineapple puree, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and garlic.
  3. Simmer the sauce
    • Heat over medium-low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • If you like it thicker, simmer a few minutes longer.
  4. Adjust flavor
    • Taste and add more honey for sweetness, vinegar/lime juice for tang, or red pepper flakes for heat.
  5. Serve or store
